Get Off the Seesaw

Mar 31, 2024

Interestingly, the words that came to me when I tapped into April’s energy was A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I don’t think this means our lives are going to be like a Shakespearean play this month, but I do think there may be some trickster energy afoot. In case you need a refresher, here’s a summary:

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Four Athenians run away to the forest only to have Puck the fairy make both of the boys fall in love with the same girl. The four run through the forest pursuing each other while Puck helps his master play a trick on the fairy queen. In the end, Puck reverses the magic, and the two couples reconcile and marry. I think we can expect some mischief from the Universe this month – taking things we thought were a given and stirring them up. As with the play, things will work out in the end but there may be some drama in the process of getting there.

Hence, the message here is don’t take anything too seriously, keep breathing and wait for the outcome. This is a good reminder all around. I heard someone recently talk about the seesaw experience we’re having with the news – one day it’s up, the next day it’s down and on and on. That may be the feeling we have this month. It’s good. It’s bad. It’s good. It’s bad. And on and on.

Hold steady. Play your part and allow the process to work out.

I want to touch on the energy I spoke about last month, too, because it’s carrying over into this month. We talked about how areas of our lives might feel like none of the pieces of the puzzle were coming together until the end of March and into April and May. It seems this “Puck” energy may weave in and out of the next couple months, but I am assured that we will begin to see a clear path, clear picture, clear direction take shape.

Again, hold steady. Stay off the seesaw and stay centered. It will all shake out in the end.
