Going Up!

There is a calm as we enter the month of October. A peacefulness. A serenity that seems to say: All is well. I know that’s contrary to what I said to expect last month. I don’t want to ruin the buzz, so, for the moment, let’s focus on the beginning of the month. 

As I say, calm, peaceful. This is the time to allow your nervous system to reboot, your mind to calm and your body to rest. Deep breaths. This is a much-needed break from the chaos of the past few years. Try not to be overly busy. Give yourself a chance to stop and smell the roses. 

Imagine yourself bathed in soothing light. This is the beginning of October. Drink it in. 

Later in the month the chaos returns but this is chaos of a different nature. In life, we move through cycles. Ideally, we evolve so when we circle round again, we know a little more. That is what’s coming. We have the opportunity to cycle through some of the challenges we’ve faced in the past but armed with more wisdom. 

As these challenges arise – both globally and personally – try not to think: Oh, no. Here we go again. Instead, try thinking: Been here, done this. I’ve got this. Because that’s exactly the case. We’ve been through it. We’ve survived it. Now it’s time to hold steady and thrive in it. And you can do that!

What if we are being tempered by life? Hammered into our best, strongest selves? 

If that’s the case, then we know what we need to do. Stand strong and prosper on all levels. All it takes at this point is remembering what we’ve learned and putting it into action.

Also, if the pandemic has brought a global transformation, then it’s important to go with new choices and not revert to how things were. The rest of this year will be an opportunity to CHOOSE how we live over and over…until it sticks. 

Here’s to a new world.
