Time to Get Out of the Box

Aug 01, 2023

The feeling I get for August and September is getting caught up in a current and carried to a new shore. The is the experience we’ve been building up to over the past few months.

In June we talked about how the energy was putting the squeeze on us to move outside the boxes we’ve been living in while at the same time the energy was readying our hearts for what was to come.

May was about emptying the emotional trash and then in April we talked about a cycle that would run through September and we were encouraged to get on the Love Train and ride it through that cycle.

So, what in your life is changing. For me, I feel like I’ve taken a step back and am gaining a new perspective. I’m seeing little ways in which I’ve been living in a world that’s suddenly too small. And what’s calling to me is more people. For me, it’s about welcoming more people into my world in multiple areas of my life – work, play, relationship. And the pillars that make that possible are valuing myself more, taking better care of myself, being more intentional about what I do with my spare time and leveling up my finances.

It's been lots of little things that are adding up to bigger things. How about you? What’s been changing? What are you less tolerant of? What’s been calling to you? What new things have you been longing for? What new vision has set itself on your horizon?

One thing I would encourage for these two months is to do some journaling about little things you notice about yourself in relation to your day. Was it business as usual? Were you particularly frustrated with something? Did you find yourself envying something someone else had or did? Because the thing is, to make conscious change we need to be conscious of what’s changing. And when we see it, like a rock climber, you gain another foothold to lift yourself up.

Over the next two months, there will be ample opportunities to take note of new directions in which to go even if the destination isn’t fully clear. Rather than getting there, this particular journey is about setting yourself up for new possibilities. And you don’t want to miss out on that!
